My mother's eyesight is not so good anymore and loves to read, I read about a light called Ott Lite but I'm still not certain. Can anyone tell me what kind of floor lamp (or one like a floor lamp) is good for Reading and somtimes she quilts/pieces quilts.

Could anyone tell me which of fluorescent light and OTT-Lite is better for your eyes? What are differences between them basically? OTT-Lite seems to be almost the brand name, though, to me their light bulbs(?) look very similar to fluorescent's.

I hate flourescent lights!!! They give me a headache. The Ott-lite claims to provide almost natural light but are very pricey (typically $100-$150). Does anyone have one? What's your opinion? Would it be good for a task light as well as next to a computer? I'd like to get some feedback before I spend the money.
